What You Can Expect

The Workshop isn’t just another styled shoot full of pretty details. This is the heart behind my business and how I care for my couples and their vendors on a personal level. When you nail the bridal, ceremony, and reception details, not only brings credibility to your brand, but it also creates relationships with their vendors by providing beautiful images of their art. We will cover my client experience and how I take great care of them throughout the entire experience. I have spent years working with couples and I have perfected my technique for posing couples and helping them to relax and enjoy our time together. I want to share this approach with you so that you can achieve those same joyful images that have made my brand a staple in the wedding industry. The styled shoot portion of our day includes the talents from some of the best, hand-picked wedding vendors in our area, so you can be assured your portfolio will have some swoon-worthy images to inspire and attract your dream couples.

• Bridal details (invitation styling, bridal shoes, jewelry, ring shot, florals, gifts, etc.)

• Live, in-action constructive criticism throughout the photoshoot
• Off-camera flash practice

Investment

The 9-hour workshop experience with Pure in Art Photography is limited in size to ensure an intimate setting and learning experience for everyone. A seat to this one day experience is $450. Early bird special of $300 if you register by Wednesday, April 25th. A light lunch, snacks, and water will be provided. After a confirmed registration, you will be added to an Exclusive Facebook Group where you can get to know the other attendees and have continuing access to further education and discussion!

FAQ

• Who is this workshop for? Great question! This workshop is for anyone who is in or interested in wedding photography. It’s to learn my approach to shooting a wedding day and how to take great care of your clients to get those word-of-mouth referrals to keep coming your way. It’s for those of you who are tired of shooting the wedding details the same ‘ole way every time. Or maybe you don’t yet have a system in your approach to photographing them and you just go into the wedding day blindly, hoping you’ll get a great shot. This is also for photographers who want to learn how to shoot couples in a way that gets those natural interactions of fun, candid shots (while secretly controlling the whole situation ;)) THIS IS FOR YOU!

• Do you have to have past experience? You do not have to have shot a wedding before (but you will want to after this! ;)). I do ask that you are comfortable with your camera, using different lenses, and shooting in manual mode.

•  What do I bring?! Bring your camera, your favorite portrait lens(es), and a macro lens if you have one …. AND of course, a great attitude! And don’t forget your camera battery and memory cards too. It’s not necessary, but feel free to bring your flashes for a brief lesson on off-camera flash. I will be providing a worksheet and pens to take notes as well as a light lunch, snacks, and water during the day.

Once I receive your responses, I will send you an email to confirm your registration and will provide instructions for sending payment. Due to extremely limited seat availability, submitting this form DOES NOT guarantee your spot. Registration will be confirmed via email. Once you receive confirmation, priority will be given to registrants who pay the workshop fee within 24 hours. After 24 hours, your seat will be suspended to the next registrant on the waiting list.

• Are any topics off limits when it comes to your teaching? Nope! I’m an open book. I do ask that we discuss the topic on hand though to keep us from getting distracted in a different direction than intended. But don’t worry, I am listening to what questions are out there and have every intention of planning more workshops catered to what y’all are wanting to learn! I am a big advocate of community over competition and I desire to give you the tools necessary to maximize your experience as a wedding photographer. I want to teach you things that have taken me 7 years to learn so that you can grow and our industry will be elevated as a whole!
