When I first showed up at Harrah’s Casino & Hotel where the girls were getting ready, Keighsy told me “I know how to pose, I watch Kim Kardashian!,” oh and this girl knows what she’s doing for sure and plus she’s gorgeous… must be those Filipino genes 🙂 Some of my favorite pictures from this wedding were when she was rocking her poses in front of the beautiful window light at the hotel.
I have known Keighsy since I was a little girl. Our mothers are from the same small town, Pampanga, located in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines and both came to the United States several years before I was born. She lived in Liberty, Missouri (oh so far away! lol, at least it was back when I was a kid) so we didn’t get together too often, but it was always a big party when we did. Filipinos are known to have parties for everything under the sun as an excuse to get together and EAT! So at Keith and Keighsy’s wedding, I was not surprised to find some classic Filipino cuisine including Lechon (roasted pig), Lumpia (spring rolls), and everyone’s favorite, Pancit (noodles) gracing our plates at the wedding.
The beautiful architecture, stained glass windows, and magnificent Kimball pipe organ of Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel at Park University in Parkville, Missouri staged a perfect location for their wedding ceremony. Keith and Keighsy’s wedding was speckled with blue, beige and green colors and an overall peacock theme (I even wore peacock earrings!). Their reception was held at Kansas City’s own Boulevard Brewery in downtown Missouri.
