This Spring I had the pleasure of assisting my friend Neal with Neal Kreuser Photography at a wedding at one of Tucson’s best wedding venues, Saguaro Buttes. I always love an opportunity to second shoot for other wedding photographers as it let’s me focus on the things I love most… details, candids, and portraits. Plus it helps me to train my eye to see the scene in a different way and to get those moments that usually just pass you by. This Tucson wedding venue has incredible views and is the perfect place for guests who want to experience the natural desert landscape.
While most of their wedding receptions are in the indoor part of the venue, they will occasionally have their receptions outdoors in the lower patio by the lake… and it’s STUNNING! As long the wedding guests count is low enough and the weather is good, this area is perfect for an outdoor wedding reception, complete with twinkly lights and a dance floor.
My favorite part about the whole wedding day was the way Derek looked at his bride. He was clearly head over heels in love with Liz and truly adored her, from the way he looked at her during their first look to the loving touches he gave her during their bride and groom portraits. Their color palette of emerald green, soft pink, and light blue complemented the desert perfectly. Congrats you guys, I wish you the best!
Beautiful wedding, venue and of course, the pictures! Very nice!
