Nicole & Garrett | A Romantic Country Engagement

Nicole and Garrett went on a vacation with her family in Kauai, Hawaii this past April and wanted to go take pictures on the beach… as they were walking down the beach looking for a good place for a photo-op, Garrett nervously got down on one knee and he proposed!! Nicole’s mom and sister were there to photograph the whole experience. What an awesome engagement story!!

So about a year and a half ago, Nicole contacted me after hearing about my work from a bridesmaid in one of my weddings. She wanted to see if wedding photography was what she is looking for in a career, so I told her I’d put her on my list in case I needed help some day. A few months later, I was going through my emails looking for a client named Nicole, and randomly came across hers when and I realized I never wrote her back! So of course I contacted her, we got together and the rest is history… Now we’ve had the chance to hang out a bunch, she’s helped me at several of my weddings and NOW, she’s getting married! I was truly honored when she asked me to be her wedding photographer!!

Everything about their engagement session went perfectly. Garrett and Nicole just bought their first house so we took some of their photos there and also at Garrett’s family’s property just down the road. The weather couldn’t have cooperated better, it was calm, warm, sunny, and we had the most beautiful fall light shining through the trees. They incorporated their cute puppy, Allie, and Garrett even pulled out his 1942 John Deere Model B for a couple of shots before the sunset! I’m so blessed to have met you guys and can’t wait for your country wedding next May!!
