connect with me
A midwestern girl who fell in love with the romance of the desert, I love ice cream, cooking for my friends, and loving people well.
hello, I'm tina!
May 3, 2016
Erin and Travis’ vision for their wedding was a rustic country theme and The Journey Home was the perfect all-inclusive venue. Their ceremony was held on the lawn overlooking beautiful trees and fields and the reception was in an open-air barn adjacent to the yard.
Every detail was special to them: her mother’s veil, her grandmother’s pearl necklace, wood accents cut from Erin’s parents’ land, antique pitchers and jars were from family members, and fresh cut flowers grown in her grandmother’s garden were found in all of the bouquets and decorations around the venue. The bridesmaids wore classic-colored navy dresses all in different styles while the guys wore gray suits with a variety of blue ties. Erin’s dress was a beautiful blush pink, moscato color, with lace and diamond accents. And they both wore cowboy boots to keep with the country theme.
When Travis proposed to Erin on April 24th of 2015, he said that he didn’t want an engagement longer than one year, and this day was one day short of it on April 23rd! Their wedding day was easy-going as it be. They started off with a first look in front of the historic house and then we had lots of time to hang out and take photos of the couple, bridal party, and family in the field and around the barns. And of course we had to have good ‘ole Kansas City barbecue for dinner and a unique twist of bundt cakes for dessert. And we ended the evening with sunset pictures and dancing the night away!
Thank you for having me out to Kansas City to photograph your special day, it’s been a pleasure serving you and your families and spending some time in the country!

You nailed it with these photos! These are the best wedding photos I’ve seen in years. You captured so many special moments for them. You had beautiful subjects to work with and I appreciate your narrative. I believe you have a great future ahead for you with your creative work.
