I met these two for the first time just four days before their wedding for their desert engagement sweetheart session in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains. They flew in from Alaska to Arizona for their destination wedding and it couldn’t have more picturesque. Their wedding was at Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch in Tucson, Arizona on a perfect 80 degree day with the sun shining abundantly. I loved their unique element of “tying the knot” with an actual knot of fabric around their hands during the ceremony.
And there wasn’t a dry eye in the house… for pretty much every single part of the day. Emotions were running high and Sarah and Erik had so much love and support surrounding them, and the presence of both of their late fathers was felt by everyone. I’m no stranger to shedding a tear or two at beautiful wedding ceremonies, but this one had me in streaming tears as I left after hugging Sarah’s mom at the end of the night.
Thank you Sarah and Erik for the chance to serve you and love on you. My heart has been touched in a special way and it was an honor to have met the both of you. Congratulations again and good luck in your new house (with no running water :-P)! TO ALASKA AND BEYOND!
Tina, what a great story including the Tying of the Knot. And of course, Sarah and Erik are such a couple in love. Your pictures will give them additional lasting memories!
