I met Paula 4 years ago when I first moved to Tucson where we were both photographers. Since then she has lived all over and met the love of her life along the way and they now live in Annapolis. I absolutely love destination weddings and it’s always such an honor to photograph another photographer’s wedding. I KNEW they were going to be the perfect match when they ended their email to me saying, “so, if you’re up for a breezy springtime Annapolis river cruise on a yacht with some fun-loving family people, let’s get this party started!” and the rest is history!
My daughter, Kinsley, and I came out a few days early to spend time exploring the city of Annapolis, as it was our first time there… and hopefully not the last! There were so many yummy places to eat at and Paula, Dave, and Ellie were amazing hosts who took us all over the city. We got to play at a place in the Annapolis mall called Yogibo, where we literally just sat on big squishy pillows and chatted for at least an hour while the kiddos ran around and jumped into them. If you haven’t experienced a Yogibo, you are missing out and you must change that status immediately!
I had the distinct pleasure of having Paula and Dave fly me all the way out from Tucson, Arizona to Annapolis, Maryland for their morning wedding on Watermark’s Catherine Marie Yacht. It had a gorgeous view of the Chesapeake Bay and we were blessed with pretty darn perfect weather for their early summer wedding.
They both had very unique wedding details, from this Rolex watch and blue stone cuff links to her blue glass necklace. This girl is packed full of talent and, believe it or not, she MADE her own wedding bouquet! I loved spending the morning with her and Ellie while I did her hair and makeup for their wedding day. And just wait til you see the surprise they had in store for their families during their ceremony… a modified Klingon wedding with these Star Trek lovers that had everyone laughing so hard!
Thank you again for bringing me to Annapolis, it was an honor sharing this little slice of life with you and your families 🙂
Because this is exactly what you do after a long morning wedding!
Thank you Paula, Dave, and Ellie for bringing me out to Maryland! I had an incredible experience and SO MUCH fun hanging out and getting to know you guys that week. And Kinsley says she misses playing with Ellie too 😉
And a couple of fun outtakes from the day… Here’s trying to fit her HUGE princess gown into their truck!
And a photo of just how much we ALL love wedding cake and desserts!
And after their wedding, we went out to dinner at Buddy’s crab shack and got this pretty sweet photo of her gorgeous ring on top of a blue crab!
