They’ve known each other for 14 years. This past December Danny proposed to Grace on a hike on the top of the McDowell mountains in Phoenix. And last week I had the distinct pleasure of photographing the first them the first time they’ve ever been in front of the camera together. Squinched noses and cheek dimples from the biggest smiles pretty much sums up our evening together. As you will see, their chemistry together is joyful and lighthearted and they both have a fun sense of humor. I absolutely LOVED my time with Grace and Danny during their Tucson engagement photo session!! The Tucson mountains on the west side of the city are one of my favorite spots to photograph desert engagement sessions because of how the golden light shines on all of the cacti and creates that perfect glow for romantic pictures.
Professional hair and makeup are on top of a lot of my brides’ checklists because it looks amazing and removes the stress of getting ready on your own and gives you an extra boost of confidence in front of the camera, and of course, always photographs like a dream. Good makeup artists know how to get it just right for the camera — and my brides always love the final result. If you need a recommendation for hair and makeup, I work with the best in the business and can definitely give you recommendations. Grace’s beauty team for their engagement session was makeup by The Powder Room and hair by Erin Powers.
It was such a pleasure finally getting to meet the two of you and your sweetheart session made me that much more excited to document your wedding day at The Highlands at Dove Mountain next March! 🙂
Wow, I wanna say they were professional models! Great pictures and for the first time in front of a camera together, I can’t wait to see the wedding pictures too!

Oh, Danny boy! What a beautiful story. Gracie is lovely and I am truly moved by these photos. Loved you from day one, kiddo.
