Where to Eat

• Street Taco and Beer Co.: fish tacos are the bomb, must get a freshly made churro before you leave
• The Screamery: highly recommend ooey gooey buttercake, sweet cream honeycomb, strawberry flavor, and get a “flight” to try up to 6 flavors at a time for just under $8!
• North Italia: in-house handmade fresh pasta and pizza, I love their strozzapreti pasta, get the bombolini Italian donuts on top of lemon curd and vanilla mascarpone for dessert, but seriously, everything is amazing
• Oregano’s Pizza Bistro: cheesy garlic bread w/ marinara for an appetizer, alfredo in the dark, Pablo Picasso mexico salad, thin-crust pizza/wings, all good
• Seis Kitchen: you can mix-and-match their tacos, burritos, and you must get their Horchata cinnamon rice milk beverage!
• HUB Restaurant & Ice Creamery: very unique and delicious menu items, must get the glory curds, plus they make their own ice cream
• Eeegee’s: sample all the flavors, especially the monthly special flavor, and you can get an eegee fizz where you can add Sierra Mist and it’s amazing, and their fries with the ranch dip are life-altering
• Zinburger: gourmet burgers and shakes, I love their buffalo chicken burger, hand-cut fries, cookies & cream milkshake. Done!
• Wildflower: modern American restaurant perfect for a date night, definitely start with their charcuterie board and you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu!
• El Charro Cafe: downtown location, classic Tucson Mexican restaurant, chimichangas, enchilada style
• La Cocina Restaurant & Cantina: outdoor courtyard restaurant and bar, and sometimes they have a live band playing!
• Bahama Buck’s: if you’re on the east side, delicious REAL shaved ice snow cones like my favorites from Hawaii, so fluffy and delicious, make sure to get one and add the tropic cream, and the orange dreamsicle one is yummy!

Activities To Do

• Hiking: one of the best cities in the world for spectacular views and great hiking. My favorites are Pima Canyon Trailhead (a good casual hike, incredible views of the city, go back as far as your body will let you), Sabino Canyon’s Seven Falls (this is longer and more challenging but so worth it when you make it to the end), and Tumamoc Hill (this is paved, but it’s relatively short, a challenging workout, and you can overlook the whole city throughout the walk!).
• Mt. Lemmon: drive up to some cooler weather and visit The Cookie Cabin and walk around at the top (it’s similar scenery and vegetation as Colorado and Flagstaff, Arizona) and make sure to stop halfway back down at Windy Vista Point for a beautiful photo op and a stunning sunset (and one of my all-time favorite locations for engagement photos)!
• Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum: a great way to get introduced to the landscape and animals of the desert, really fun!
• Pima Air & Space Museum: a tour through aviation history and an astonishing airplane graveyard.
