I remember talking with Monica at our consultation earlier this Spring and she was laying out the vision she had for their wedding, from the dress to the colors, and all about the florals and decor that his mother would be creating. And then, when we spoke again at their sweetheart session, she laughed and said it has ALL changed! She decided to go with a completely different bridal gown from Luv Bridal up in Phoenix. Their colors went from black and white with red roses to this gorgeous fall palette of burgundy, peach, red, with hints of a fuchsia. And all that to say, it couldn’t have turned out more perfect and completely and totally them! Monica and Cesar’s wedding day at The Stillwell House & Gardens in Tucson, Arizona was elegant, classic, with a whole lot of deep love. As they read their personal vows to each other, they were heartful and natural, it was as if they had been waiting their entire lives to utter those words from their lips. And if you know their story at all, Monica and Cesar met when they were just kids only to found themselves in each other’s arms once again after years of being apart.
One of my favorites parts about this wedding was that their bridal party was made up of their children and grandchildren. I know what you’re thinking… there is NO way these two have grandchildren, they’re way too young for that. Well, in fact, they have two of them and they are incredible grandparents to these beautiful girls. I can already tell they are both going to have fun and spunky personalities! As someone comes from a blended family, seeing them all come together so effortlessly really filled my heart with joy. All three of their kids gave a special toast to them at the reception, and I don’t think I’ve ever been so close to tears. As they each spoke, what I consistently heard was that they loved and accepted their new parent with welcome arms and that they were so PROUD to be their children!
Monica and Cesar, it has been a real pleasure getting to spend this season of your lives with you and I couldn’t be more happy to have met the two of you! Congratulations again!
