connect with me
A midwestern girl who fell in love with the romance of the desert, I love ice cream, cooking for my friends, and loving people well.
hello, I'm tina!

You know when it’s almost fate that someone comes into your life? That’s how I feel about Brittany and John. Ever since their sweetheart session, I have had the pleasure of getting to know their hearts, their strengths and struggles, their likes and dislikes, and see their genuine love for not only each other but their contagious joy spread to everyone around them. They got married one year to the date after they got engaged. And after the wedding, they celebrated with a trip to Disney World AND a Disney Cruise for their honeymoon! She’s very much a Disney princess-lover, so naturally, she went all out and got a big beautiful Maggie Sottero ball gown. Her shoes were lace-up ballerina flats and her bridal headpiece was a traditional cathedral-length mantilla veil as a tribute to her Mexican roots. The ladies wore classic black sweetheart bridesmaid dresses and the groomsmen were in black and white Vera Wang tuxes with black bow ties. All of the flowers were classic white Vendella roses because roses are the flower that John always has gotten her since they started dating.
Their Catholic ceremony was performed at St. Augustine Cathedral, one of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever seen. Her nephew’s award-winning Mariachi group performed during the ceremony and the crystal lasso was passed down from her grandparents. I had the pleasure of riding on an Allison Limousine with just the two of them back to the Hilton El Conquistador for the reception. I got one of my all-time favorite limo photos, waiting for the perfect time when the purple lights lit up to capture a photo to match their reception uplighting. The Hilton reception venue is nestled in the foothills with stunning views of the Catalina Mountains. While the wedding is a very classic elegant style, they added several pops of modern touches. The reception decor was inspired by white linen and crystal clear acrylic pieces. They also had a yummy white candy bar featuring lollipops, chocolates, gummy bears, cotton candy, and even custom M&Ms!
I will leave you with their incredible advice to future couples… “take your time with your relationship, grow together, be patient with each other, don’t give up on each other, and do what you have to do to be the best for each other. Remember that there will be tough times but it will pass. Love God and love yourself as that it the only way you can really have a true strong love for your partner.”
