These Tucson engagement photos were SO fun to photograph, and if you don’t know Ryan and Cassidy’s story you are in for a treat! They have actually known each other since they were newborns, he was only 1 and a half and she was just 4 months old, when their fathers shared a cubical at Raytheon. Their families stayed best friends over the years and then these two started their relationship when they were in their early teens. After dating off and on, including 4 years of long distance, they ended up reconnecting at her sister’s destination wedding in Mexico and now they are engaged!
Speaking of, let me tell you about their engagement… Ryan and his family are avid fans of golf so he took her to JW Starr Pass Resort for their first date when she first visited Tucson. The evening of their engagement, he took her out in the total darkness out to a tee box on the golf course that overlooks the city to propose. They spent the rest of the evening drinking champagne and enjoying the bliss of that perfect night.
Since she’s from Missouri and he’s from California, we went out to the desert for their engagement photos to show off the natural beauty of Tucson. Their brought their adorable pup, Mazi, out to get their first family pictures and just wait until you see how cute she is! Rachel with The Powder Room did a fabulous job, as always, with Cassidy’s hair and makeup. It was soft and romantic and paired beautifully with her floral patterned dress. Even though it’s still warm out, Ryan was a trooper and wore one of my favorite looks for men, a layered v-neck sweater and dark washed jeans. I could instantly tell they were super comfortable and didn’t mind loving on each other, which really compliments my style of natural posing.
Thank you, Cassidy and Ryan, for trusting me documenting your love for each other and these fun memories you are making together. I’m looking forward to shooting your wedding at Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch in Tucson, Arizona this upcoming March!
