I was so excited to get these two in front of my camera for this Tucson Engagement session! We had so much fun, and I can’t wait for their Spring wedding.
I just adore the beginning to their love story… After years of going to the same high school, Eric and Kristina finally met when they both decided to do the Spring musical. They started out as good friends, then started hanging out A LOT more that summer. Eric took her on their first date near the end of July, and two days later he went to see her choir concert where he bought the ENTIRE choir white roses just so he could give Kristina a red rose without being too forward! On August 22nd, he asked her to be his girlfriend, she said yes, and the rest is history!
Eric proposed to Kristina in downtown Tucson at Maynard’s Kitchen. He asked her why that day (September 20th) was special, and at the time she didn’t know. He then grabbed an empty wine bottle that had been sitting on the table with flowers in it and put it between them. He asked her “do you know what this is?” It then dawned on her that it was the same wine bottle that played a very important role in the story of when they first said, “I love you” and he told her that it was the SAME wine bottle from that day, exactly 6 years after it happened!
I met Kristina at our church, Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene, but really got to know her better when she served as the maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding last Fall. They told me they were looking for a photographer with a light and airy feel that captured lots of candids, emotions, and details and so here we are today! I photographed their sweetheart session in Tucson at a boutique shopping plaza with gorgeous architecture and greenery to match their elegant attire. These are some of my favorite images to date, especially the fun, candid, and natural-posed photos. Then we then headed to a local park where they brought their pup, Butterscotch, for some playful and romantic portraits! And a special shout out to Kasie Ramirez with R Salon Day Spa and Studio B Designs for doing Kristina’s hair and makeup. I couldn’t be more excited for their wedding next April at Skyline Country Club, a modern wedding venue that overlooks the entire city of Tucson.
Beautiful couple: Congratulations!
Love the contrast between the colored & black & white photos.
