Stephanie & Ed | Westin Crown Center | Kansas City Wedding Photographers

I have been looking forward to Stephanie and Edward’s wedding at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center ever since I photographed their sweetheart session at the Kansas City Country Club Plaza last fall. Their happiness and giggliness is so contagious, it makes my cheeks hurt just thinking about it! They are one of the kindest and most thoughtful couples I know as evidenced by the number of people celebrating with them at their wedding.

Their bridal party was filled with siblings and friends and we had so much fun going all over the Westin hotel. Get ready for some pretty epic groomsmen photos on top of the building with the Kansas City skyline in the background! I loved that Stephanie had her bridesmaids in mismatched gowns of gold sequins and coral, and Ed had classic navy tuxes for his groomsmen. Matt with Botanical Floral Design designed a very personal and unique wedding bouquet by incorporating small photos of family members (and pets!) who have gone on to heaven. And I had the opportunity to work with one of my absolute favorite hair and makeup artists, my little sister, Kat Collett, who as always, knocked it out of the park!

Since they met in Paco’s dance class, it was only fitting that they surprise all of their guests with jaw-dropping choreographed performances for their first dance, bridal party, and mother-son dance! It’s no secret that Filipinos LOVE to dance and that’s exactly what happened until the lights went on after the end of the reception as DJ Johnny Quest kept the party going. And I’m so glad we used the last bit of sunset for their husband and wife portraits for some of my all-time favorite Kansas City skyline pictures! Thank you, Ed and Steph, for letting me celebrate you and your marriage with everyone who loves you! It has been my pleasure being a part of your love story!
