I had been looking forward to doing their Kansas City engagement photos for quite some time, and it was well worth the wait… we started D and B’s engagement session at their home in Overland Park for some casual cuddly couch pictures and photos with their golden retrievers, Henry and Jackson! Then we transitioned over to their baby grand piano where they played some sweet music together and shared joyful laughs. The connection they share is enhanced by some tough life struggles they’ve had to endure together, only making them stronger together as a couple.
Afterward, we went to the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, a 300-acre prairie garden with colorful wildflowers, native plants and grasses, and a variety of wildlife. One of the funniest things happened right as we were finished up their session was this one little turtle kept boxing a bigger turtle in the face… and instantly reminded me of my daughter, Kinsley, who’s always in my face fighting for attention from whatever else I happen to be doing, LOL!
I really enjoyed getting to know the two of you and I’m looking forward to meeting your kiddos and the rest of your families at your wedding next May at the Union Horse Distillery in Kansas City. Wedding planning by the amazing Hannah with Bridal Path Weddings and Events!
And because I know you want to see those adorable little turtles… here they are, LOL!
Great picutes! Tina, you captured the love between them and the lighting/backdrop was phenominal! Can’t wait to see the wedding photos too!
