Elizabeth & Michael | St. Thomas Virgin Islands Wedding Photographer | Villa Serenita Wedding

If there’s any wedding I’ve put the most pressure on myself to photograph, it was definitely for my next youngest sister, Elizabeth, who had an intimate destination wedding in the Caribbean. We got to spend a week relaxing at the Villa Serenita Luxury Vacation Rental Villa in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, a vacation rental villa with enough space to fit all 17 guests and an infinity edge pool flowing toward the Caribbean Sea. We were surrounded by tropical flowers, luscious palm trees, and some of the bluest and crystal-clear waters I’ve ever seen.

Early Saturday morning, we witnessed Elizabeth and Michael pledge their vows to one another on the balcony overlooking the ocean and then celebrated with family over brunch and cake. In the afternoon, we cooled off by enjoying the infinity pool and relaxing with the ocean breeze. We finished out the day with family photos and husband and wife sunset pictures. The next day, we woke up early to take day-after romantic photos on the beach before I flew back home to Tucson that afternoon.

I am excited to check being a St. Thomas Virgin Islands Wedding Photographer off of my bucket list and was thankful to have contributions by some of my favorite wedding vendors. I brought with me a gorgeous bouquet of tropical florals made by Tucson florist, Elizabeth with A Floral Note. A huge thanks to my other brother-in-law, Andrew, and my baby sister, Anna, for the drone photo of the venue and for an incredible video of our vacation! And our very own sister, Kat Collett from With Love Salon in Kansas City, was of course, along for the ride and did a fabulous job on everyone’s hair and makeup. And can I just point out the impressive color she did for Beth’s lilac rose gold updo?! Another great benefit of having a destination wedding was being able to get the team together for a second photo shoot the next morning for some of my all-time favorite beach photos!

I am so happy for you little sis and to my new brother-in-law for all you have accomplished in life. I’m excited to be a part of the beginning story of your marriage, and I know you are going to do a wonderful job raising those four beautiful children together. I love you guys!
