I love any opportunity to head up the Santa Catalina Mountains for a Mount Lemmon engagement session. There is cooler weather, unique and photogenic landscapes, and the extra time getting to hang out with my couple during the drive is a nice bonus!
Chelsey and Zach met when she brought her mom lunch one day at the high school that she works at. He was substitute teaching there and after they ran into each other, it was love at first sight. Zach is a few years older than her so he went through all the same schools as her sister, but Chelsey never actually met him until that day. They have been dating for 6 years now! These two are super sweet and low-key so a sweet, relaxing proposal at their home was completely fitting. He called her into their bedroom room, and there he was, on his knee with the ring in one hand and their dog, Oscar, sitting by his side. Oscar is their whole world, their little baby, so having him incorporated into the event was super special and meaningful.
So, naturally, we had to bring Oscar along for the ride to join them for their sweetheart session. One thing I enjoyed learning about them is that these animal-lovers recently got approved to start volunteering and fostering dogs at the Pima Animal Care Center. Since Chelsey and Zach love hiking and the outdoors, we started in the pine trees about half-way up Mt. Lemmon and I immediately realized how natural their connection is with each other. It’s like you can hear their laughs just by looking at these images. They started out with casual “fall” outfits at the forest location and then she dressed up in a flowy, floral gown and bubblegum pink heels for the sunset photos at Windy Point. Chelsey’s hair and makeup were done by Betty Latorre-Edmond with I Do Hair and Makeup Artistry!
I am SO excited to photograph your wedding at Stardance Event Center in Tucson, Arizona this October!!
What a cool couple and great pictures!
