There is something very special about Tucson engagement photos in the desert! Right now, all the cacti are blooming and the soft golden light and pastel backdrops are quite unique to this landscape. When choosing the location for your engagement pictures, I recommend going with a place that means something special to you as a couple. Many of my brides and grooms love to hike so showing off the natural beauty of the desert is often the case. Brad surprised Emily with a proposal on the top of Wasson Peak, the highest point of the Tucson Mountains, after a beautiful afternoon hike. So I was excited to have this summit featured in the background of their engagement photos.
Emily and Brad met at Casas church right after she moved to Tucson from her hometown in Seattle. She joined a young professionals bible study and found a friend group that quickly made her feel at home in Tucson. Brad attended the same bible study and they saw each other quite regularly with all of their mutual friends. And about a year ago, they made it official and started dating. These two have incredibly infectious smiles and joy radiates from both of them, so capturing candid interactions was completely natural! Also, they did a great job choosing outfits to coordinate with the desert colors, with a flowy floral gown for her and soft pink button-down for him. Since they are getting married in the fall, they also chose some bold, deeper tones for their second outfit. Ahhhh and just wait until you see her engagement ring, it’s a stunning blue sapphire!! Thanks so both of you for spending your afternoon with me, I am very much looking forward to photographing your wedding at Stardance Event Center this October! And a special shout out to my sweet friend, Julia, who referred this super sweet couple my way!

The picture of the ring in the midst of the flowers is a winer!
