connect with me
A midwestern girl who fell in love with the romance of the desert, I love ice cream, cooking for my friends, and loving people well.
hello, I'm tina!
January 18, 2019
We woke up to (literally) freezing weather the morning of their sunrise engagement session, it was actually snowing in parts of Tucson this day. Yet, they completely trusted me to get gorgeous pictures of them and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out… you would never be able to tell it was 34 degrees!! It’s a good thing I like to make my couples get all snug and cuddly with each other! Last year, I photographed their friends Soley & David’s sweetheart session and was so excited to have the opportunity to photograph another Vietnamese engagement session. The Ao Dai dresses are very intricate in their design and colors and I loved the pop of mustard yellow on her gown. And to show off a little bit of bling, she had metallic gold and silver florals on her dress, and wore a pair of jeweled Badgley Mischkas and a Tiffany’s engagement ring! Her hair and makeup were styled by Tatiana at I Do Hair & Makeup Artistry.
Giang and Ninh first met in high school when she was starting as a freshman and he his junior year. They remained friends for several years until he finally asked her to be his girlfriend and then started the journey of being in a very long-distance relationship. Due to the time difference between Vietnam and America, they were always having to work around schedules or stay up late in order to spend time with each other. They also sent letters and wrote diaries to each other to feel as close as possible while living so far away. Then, a few years past and Ninh decided to put his career on hold and sacrificed being away from his family and friends to move to America to be with her. Later this year they will be having a traditional Vietnamese wedding ceremony with family and friends in Hue, Vietnam, in their hometown where they first met.
I asked them what they love about one another. Giang loves Ninh’s patience, his unconditional love for her, and his positive attitude. My favorite was when she said that she has learned how to enjoy life more with him. Ninh said she is very lovely and is particularly charmed by her voice and her intelligence. They love to travel, watch movies, and cook at home. And by cooking at home, I mean it is Ninh who does all the cooking… she just gets to sit back and enjoy his delicious food 😉
It was so wonderful meeting you two… thanks for trusting me on such a freezing cold day and letting me document this little part of your journey together.
