Last October I met Soley and David as guests at Brittany and John’s wedding, and then this January, I had the distinct pleasure of being one of a few witnesses at their Tucson courthouse wedding ceremony. Not only did I get to meet the family members closest to them, but also it was the beginning of a lifelong friendship. I’m excited to present to you their Tucson engagement pictures!

Soley is totally into all of the details and loves any opportunity to have a gorgeous bouquet for photos. I was so excited when she commissioned my friend Elizabeth with A Floral Note to create this custom design of purple anemones, red garden roses, and pepperberry! She told me that she puts extensive thought into everything she wears, even when going to the gym, and so of course, her engagement session was no exception. For the first part of their sweetheart session, they wore traditional Vietnamese costumes as an honor to David’s culture. Her long gown is called an Ao Dai and had the most intricate beading and delicate fabrics, and she paired it with a striking pair of patent leather Valentino pumps. Soley and David have matching Cartier LOVE collection wedding bands, in which the iconic symbol is a tribute to passionate romance that transgresses all boundaries. It’s the idea that this symbol of love should be everlasting. Historically, all of their bracelets from this collection had to literally be screwed on with a miniature screwdriver, reinforcing the idea that love is not to be taken lightly. I told ya, she is into all of the small details!

When my couples trust me completely to capture the intimate journey of their marriage and those little “moments” between them, we get images that show their connection and photos to look back on that remind them of the person they fell in love with.
