connect with me
A midwestern girl who fell in love with the romance of the desert, I love ice cream, cooking for my friends, and loving people well.
hello, I'm tina!
April 30, 2018
Chanel and Eddie got married at on the lawn of her parents’ house in Tucson, Arizona. There was something so special about having an intimate backyard wedding with a gathering of your closest friends and family. Chanel and Eddie are both very passionate and loyal to their relationship with Christ and his presence on that day was their greatest desire. This wedding was filled with moments of worship, intertwined with the ceremonial traditions of matrimony and becoming one. “Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created,” in Esther 4:14 is a life-verse for Chanel, so it was perfectly fitting that 4-14 be their wedding date!
Their outdoor backyard wedding was a garden theme with elegant elements. Lots of garlands of greenery, an arbor that frames the couple for the ceremony, 40′ long dinner tables, tall mesquite trees wrapped in lights… it was delicate, simple, and beautiful! The bride’s bouquet was a mix of peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, and spray roses in shades of white, cream, and a touch of blush mixed with loose eucalyptus and foliage.
Having only been engaged since January, it has been a fast process, but I have really enjoyed getting to know Chanel and Eddie at their sweetheart session and then getting to meet their families at the wedding. One of my all-time favorite wedding moments (pretty quick after the ceremony began, mind you) was when Pastor Zane was saying the opening vows, and then Eddie quickly went in for a KISS!!! It got the whole crowd cracking up and made for some of the best candid shots! I knew as soon as they told me they would be serving The Screamery (my favorite local ice creamery!) at the end of their wedding, it was like an instant connection to this couple that is now so dear to my heart. Congrats to both of you!!!
