Nick and Alysha are both from Kansas City but met about seven years ago while attending Western Kentucky University. For their first date, Nick didn’t realize it was a date and had not made any reservations or plans. Alysha showed up “dressed to kill” in heels, blouse, nice jeans and it was THEN that Nick realized it was a date. Since it was the weekend before Christmas, they had to drive to five different restaurants before they were able to get in somewhere. Finally they got into Blue Stem, a pretty nice restaurant for a first date, and the whole time Nick was thinking, “I sure hope she’s worth it.“ I guess it all worked out, and Nick, she is definitely worth it!
Their day was full of tear, joy, and LOTS of laughter. These two are so natural and truly happy around each other, I can’t help but smile when I’m around them! The ceremony and reception were held at the one of the most beautiful venues at 28 Event Space in downtown Kansas City. Good Earth Floral Design did a fantastic job with all of the bouquets and floral designs and the fabulous caterer was a hit with their mac n’ cheese bar and mini crème brûlée for dessert! And a special thank you to Angela and Nicole for assisting me at their wedding!

[…] I had the pleasure of second shooting a gorgeous wedding with Tina from Pure In Art Photography back in August. Tina is a complete sweetheart, and although she no longer lives in Kansas City, it was an honor getting to work with her before she moved. Check out Tina’s post on this wedding here. […]
