Natalie & Travis | Arizona Desert Sweetheart Session

Ooooh swoon!! How adorable are Natalie and Travis?! It feels like just yesterday we were shooting their baby, Kyson’s newborn lifestyle session. But THIS shoot was all about them! And they’re obviously super in love and we had tons of fun exploring the desert around their neighborhood together.

For this shoot, I wanted to challenge myself by shooting at noon. That’s right, mid-day.. bright as can be.. 100+ degrees.. in the desert. Because you just never know when you are forced into a situation where that’s your only option. And now that I’ve done it, I have another tool in my toolbox for how to handle this harsh lighting scenario.

This is my second styled sweetheart session featuring my new engagement style guide and I couldn’t be happier with the outfits they put together. The bold navy of Travis’ shirt against Natalie’s blush pink flowy skirt and white blouse with the unique sheerness of the top was perfect together. I was also impressed with her choice of rose gold accessories like her watch and bracelet.

Providing the tips and education and then giving the power to my clients to make it happen has been amazing and so exciting! I’ve been able to walk into every single shoot and them showing up in exactly what I like for them to wear, but still maintaining their own sense of style.
