Megan & Jorge | Downtown Tucson Engagement Photos | Tucson, AZ

They both attended a salsa dance class through the University of Arizona. Jorge was looking to improve his rhythm and Megan just wanted to meet new people after recently moving to Tucson. Little did they know they would be meeting the person they’ll be spending the rest of their life with.

Listen to their engagement story: “Jorge surprised me with the proposal by planning a day at the park where we had met for our first bike ride (and often frequented afterward to read under the shade tree). We walked to the park to relax and read under the tree and I couldn’t figure out why he had a backpack with him just to carry his book, but when I questioned it he simply said it was hot and he just didn’t feel like carrying his book. I didn’t think much about it because it was hot. It was actually way hotter than we thought it would be that day and when we got to the park and realized that a family was already using our favorite, and really only, shade tree, we almost left because after about 5 minutes of sitting in the sun it was so uncomfortable. Jorge decided to “use the bathroom” and when I turned around after packing up our stuff, he returned in his suit and walked me to the edge of the park and proposed. He says it didn’t go the way he originally planned because he really wanted it to be under “our tree” but it made for a silly story and great day anyway!”

I had so much fun with Megan and Jorge shooting their downtown Tucson engagement photos! Of course, we had to incorporate their bikes into their engagement session and I’m so glad we did. While I don’t typically recommend bringing props to sessions, since it can sometimes distract from my goal of just showing the connection between my couples, I definitely encouraged it this time because of its sweet sentiment in their relationship. Their engagement pictures are full of genuine laughs, lots of giggles, and so much love… I’m so excited to share with you how just how stinkin’ adorable they are together!
