Scot is one of my husband’s brother and a pivotal person in Cody and my relationship. Scot was an admissions counselor at MidAmerica Nazarene University and I volunteered to help him collect donations at chapel one day. On our way to College Church we passed by this really nice, white Cadillac in the parking lot. He said “… ya, that’s my little brother’s…” Unbeknowst to me, he said he knew we were destined to be together. The next day, I met his little brother and the rest is history.

Later that year, Scot and his family moved away, ending up in North Dakota, where their family is from. BUT they recently moved back to Kansas City a few weeks ago and Cody and I couldn’t be more happy that they did. Now I get to see him, his wife Crystal, and their kids, Ella, Morgan, and Brody all the time! I was honored that they asked me to photograph their family this year and what a perfect fall day it was! Those kids are so full of energy and an absolute joy to be around. Love you guys!
