A midwestern girl who fell in love with the romance of the desert, I love ice cream, cooking for my friends, and loving people well.

Being a mom has pulled me, stretched me, and grown me more than I ever thought possible. And it’s ONLY BEEN 9 MONTHS since Kinsley was born. I had always heard that you never know how much love is truly in your heart until you have a child. Well that’s 100% true. It has made me appreciate everything my mom, step mom, mother-in-law, sisters, and grandparents do for me and how much each one of them has made an impact in my life and are a perfect picture of what I will strive to be as a mom to my own children <3
I was in mom’s group at my church this week and heard one of the most perfectly written articles that spoke directly to my heart, to where I am RIGHT NOW. As much as I wish I could have written it, she said it so well so I just wanted to share her words. I know I will look back at this post years down the road and these words will mean just as much to me as they do now.

This stage of life. It’s hard, you guys.
I’m talking right now to you moms who are in your early to mid 30’s. You have kids. Likely two, three, maybe four of them. They probably range in age from newborns to 7 or 8 year-olds. (Give or take a few, on all of the above mentioned stats).
In this stage of life, you are dealing with exhaustion. Mental, physical, and emotional.
In this stage of life, you are dealing with teething. With ear infections. With stomach viruses. You are juggling nap schedules, and feeding schedules and soccer schedules. A million balls you are juggling, and you probably feel like you are dropping most of them.

What a wonderful way to describe the process of motherhood with the Pros and let’s just say the down times. As us father’s, I must say, we too have many of the same feelings when close to our children, and I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world!
Happy Mother’s Day Tina!
